Among 158 Companies, Godrej Consumer’s Q1 Results Revealed: Read The Details

Up to 158 businesses will release their quarterly financial results on Wednesday, marking the start of the first quarter earnings season. Important outcomes to be aware of are those related to Pidilite, Godrej Consumer, NHPC, BSE, and ABFRL. Companies including Godfrey Phillips, Apollo Tyres, Aadhar Housing Finance, Abbott India, Abans Holdings, Lemon Tree Hotels, Dr. Lal PathLabs, Loyal Equipments, Rannish Retail, Zee Media, and others will also release their results in addition to the ones mentioned above.

The company said that its board has approved entry into the pet care industry through one of its subsidiaries and that it will invest Rs 500 cr over a five-year period. On August 7, Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) revealed a consolidated net profit for the first quarter of its fiscal year of Rs 450.69 crore, up 41% from Rs 319 crore in the same period the previous year. The company’s Q1 FY25 results filing revealed that its income from operations decreased by 3.4 % to Rs 3,331.58 crore from Rs 3,449 crore in the same quarter last year.

Compared to the same period last year, when total expenses were Rs 2,956.36 cr, the first quarter’s expenses were lower at Rs 2,744.36 cr. Compared to Rs 1,641.25 cr, the cost of basic supplies, including packing material used, was lower at Rs 1,289.68 cr. Additionally, Godrej Consumer Products announced an interim dividend with a record date of August 16 of Rs 5 per share of Re 1 face value. At Rs 724.5 crore for the quarter, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 12.7% year over year. EBITDA margin increased to 21.8% YoY by 200 basis points.

Godrej Consumer announced that it is entering the pet care goods market and plans to invest Rs 500 crore over the course of five years. According to the corporation, its income from business in India increased to Rs 2,162.93 cr in the first quarter of this fiscal year from Rs 2,005.48 cr in the same period the previous year. Revenue for Indonesia increased to Rs 465.13 cr from Rs 450.69 cr during the same period last year. Revenue for the Africa division, which includes Strength of Nature, was Rs 544.57 cr in the first quarter of this year, compared to Rs 848.57 cr in the same period last year.
